Q: Do I need to schedule an appointment to try on bridesmaids dresses?

A: Yes! While we would love to be able to accommodate walk in appointments, our space is limited as is the number of consultants. All customers must have appointments.

Q: How does a typical Bridesmaids appointment work?

A: Our bridesmaids appointments are scheduled for an hour and a half, while measurement appointments last for approximately 30 minutes. Your party will have a dedicated Stylist to assist you with selecting and clipping dresses, as well as to answer any questions you may have and take measurements when necessary.

Q: Do I need to, or can I bring my entire bridal party with me for my appointment?

A: Due to space constraints, we limit parties to 5, including the bride. If you would like to bring more people, you are welcome to rent out the adjacent bridesmaid suite for $50. This will allow you to have 10 people total (including yourself). You’re also welcome to make multiple appointments, and bring bridesmaids in separately so they can make their selection and be measured. Sometimes fewer opinions at once is most productive!

Q: What sizes are your bridesmaids dresses available in?

A: Our sample bridesmaid dresses range in bridal size from 2-28 (Street size 00-24). Jenny Yoo bridesmaids gowns are available to be ordered up to size 34. We work carefully with each bridesmaid to select the best dress size for them, based on measurements and the designer's size chart.  

Q: Do you have multiple sizes in each style or color?

A: Generally we only have one size in each of our styles & colors. Certain popular styles we may have more than one sample of, in different sizes & colors. Feel free to inquire if there are specific dresses you are interested in!

Q: What if I have bridesmaids that are not local?

A: For out-of-town bridesmaids, we recommend they get professionally measured by a local seamstress or bridal shop. We are happy to ship dresses upon arrival at our shop (a $12 shipping & insurance fee within the Tri-State area and $24 out-of-state. Dresses shipped out of state are not subject to NYS sales tax).  

Q: What is your payment policy?

A: Bridesmaid dresses must be paid in full for us to place the order with the designer. Once we place an order with a designer, we are not able to cancel the order.

Q: How far in advance should we order?

A: We recommend placing bridal party orders at least 6 months before the date of the wedding. Our designers require 2-5 months for production, and bridesmaids should allot 1 month for alterations. We will hold the bridal party order until each bridesmaid has called in and paid for her dress in full. This ensures all dresses are cut from the same dye-lot and arrive at the same time.

Q: Will they need alterations?

A: Most likely they will need at least a hem. Other common alterations are to the bodice and straps. We do not have a seamstress on staff, but do have a list of several talented seamstresses locally. If the bridesmaid is from out-of-town, we recommend that they source a seamstress who specifically works on bridal or formal wear.
